Dear members of the Co-Op,

This space will be dedicated to providing customers of the co-op with links to interesting articles about lifestyle, especially concerning the food we eat.  Periodically, we will be adding new links, and possibly deleting old ones.  This way, you will always find something of interest and educational value right here, along with the foods you love and want.

In effect, we want and need to reaffirm our choice of healthy nourishment over commercially prepared foods laden with chemicals, sugar, herbicides, pesticides, GMO’s and empty calories.   Our decision to jump ship on the “traditional” modern food industry puts us on a special category of consumer.  Co-ops like this one make it easier for us to procure the alternatives, now becoming more main stream every year.

As we become better educated about nutrition, some of us have gravitated toward lifestyles such as Vegan, Vegetarian, Paleo, Raw, Gluten Free, and others.  With these many lifestyle choices, it is difficult to target information to such a varied audience.  However, a commonality of these lifestyles is we are all interested that our food be free of additives, grown or raised organically, and available to us at reasonable cost.  This co-op is committed to those values.

Each link below is preceded by a synopsis of the targeted article.  Some of these items may not fit your preferred style, and in some cases could actually espouse an opposite viewpoint.  Please note that it is not the intention here to cover any one particular viewpoint, but to expose you to several disciplines, commentaries, and food techniques and let you choose to assimilate or disregard the information as you wish.  If any one item is either informative or useful in your life, we will be glad to have contributed in some manner.  If an article is offensive to you, please don’t shoot the messenger.  We are not here to endorse any one thing over any other thing.  We only want to promote any and all concepts, which in concert with the foods we provide, may help you achieve a healthier and happier life.
